Spring is bringing new life, and with it new opportunities to explore and discover! We'll be able to see nature blooming, bugs coming out of hiding, and new spring animals being born. We'll also have lots of chances to play in the rain puddle, dig for worms, and find picture in the clouds!

Thank you to the brave men and women of the Kirkland Fire and Rescue Department #26 for their visit today! The children got to see a fire fighter wearing his equipment, including face mask, air tank, boots, coat and helmet. We got to climb in the fire engine and see all the important equipment the fire fighters use to keep us safe and up out fires. Thank you, heroes of our community!
What big adventures little feet can experience! Our infants are getting so big and are moving up to the toddler room! Our toddlers are getting bigger and eager for more challenges and are moving up to the preschool room! We are preparing our pre-k class to move on to Kindergarten this year! The cycle of center life continues!
Miss Cheree sharing her singing bowl with the class. It sounded so pretty! It was so nice to sit quietly and listen to the beautiful tones. Our Transportation theme is so much fun! We've been making rockets, trains, cars, and boats, and letting our imaginations soar! What fun to explore the different ways of travel doing hands-on, engaging activities!
What beautiful fall weather we've been having! The children are able to enjoy some crisp, clean, warm air outside! We've been enjoying learning about our 5 senses and looking at, smelling, and seeing the changes in the seasons.
Welcome back to school! We are so excited to be here, and to have your children here with us! We welcome new friends, and welcome back returning friends as well. We have lots of fun and educational activities planned, so that the children will learn, grow, and have a good time! We welcome parent volunteers to come in and read, play, and enjoy some "school" time! Have a great day!
What better way to enjoy the outdoors than to gather together to fish! It's fun to carry on traditions, teach about the finer points of catching fish (whether to eat or release), and share some family time together. Lots of places to go, from the docks in Seattle to the Gold Creek Trout Farm in Woodinville and Springbrook Trout Farm in Renton. Check out takemefishing.org for mor info, too. Happy fishing!
We are studying about the deep blue sea this month! It gives us lots of opportunities to examine sea life, play in the water, and learn about water safety. Our favorite sea creature is the shark! Did you know sharks can have as many as 3,000 teeth, arranged in rows, in their mouths? There are over 500 species of sharks, and they've been around for over 420 MILLION YEARS? Sharks can range in size from mere inches to over 50 feet long! Wow!
