The Seagulls class has had fun learning all about farms this past month.  The month of June we will be exploring all about Dinosaurs!  This just happens to be one of our favorite units.  We will also be taking our first field trip to Grasslawn Park in Kirkland on Tuesday 24th.  We will have a sign up sheet on the lobby counter.  As always, chaperones are always welcome!  Have a great weekend!  Miss Cheree

The babies are such an integral part of our center.  Not only do we get to watch them grow as they move up through the program, but the older children love being "big  helpers".  They feel like mentors to the infants, showing them how to play "peek-a-boo" and getting them to laugh. 

 We're so lucky to have such wonderful teachers in our infant room, who truly care and are dedicated teachers.

Wow! What a fun week we have planned.  This week is all about sheep.  We used chalk to color white sheep.  We also cooked vegetables to feed to the sheep.  The best part was when we discovered black sheep.  We used black paint to color the sheep black.  Some of the paint actually got on the paper!  We've been singing "Little Boy Blue", "Ba, Ba, Black Sheep", "Mary Had a Little Lamb", and "Old McDonald had a Farm".  Our toddlers know the sounds farm animals make, and they enjoyed crawling around like sheep and saying, "BAAAAA!"

We are having fun learning about the farm this month.  We discovered when we mixed red and white paint it made pink!  Great for painting paper plates to make our pigs, and for our "Letter of the Week"!

Good bye April Showers - Hello to our May flowers!  Bears class is busy learning about life on the farm.  What happens on the farm and how does it help our community?  We will be learning about the animals who live on the farm, the sounds they make and their purpose on the farm.  On Wednesday May 28th we will be visiting Fox Hollow Farm in Issaquah.  Stop by our classroom and take a peek at our butterflies!  Outside in our Bears class garden we can see strawberries and peas growing!  Hurray for spring and sunshine!

Yeah for Preschool Teachers!  Remember to tell your child's teacher how much they mean to you and your family.  A handmade thank you card, flowers from your garden, a gift card, all mean the world to us.  We get lots of rewards every day from the kids, but this special day is set aside just for us!  Thanks to our families, too, for sharing your precious little ones with us!  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and Happy Mother's Day to all the special moms!!

Our after school program is winding down and getting ready for Summer Camp!  Here we are last year at the Pacific Science Center's Butterfly House.  We have lots of fun field trips and activities planned!  Can't wait till June 17th!  (That's the last day of school!)
