OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our Philosophy is based on the premise that learning in a young child takes place all of the time. Children learn through play and life experiences. Each child is an individual with unique differences, abilities and needs. We are here to meet those needs.

HOW WE WILL ACHIEVE OUR GOALS
Providing individualized growth for each child
Teachers will provide individualized care. They will know every child's name; Fully understand each child's development stage; Self-esteem will be emphasized for each child; Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum for the whole child, Social-Emotional (Self help skills, separation, friendships, taking turns) Cognitive (Pre-Reading, stories, songs, letters; Pre-Math, colors, shapes, numbers, counting, patterning, cooking & science, etc.); Physical (Small and large motor skills inside and out); Good nutrition will be stressed
A caring, nurturing environment. Lots of hugs and encouragement will be given; Children will be comforted when upset; Positive reinforcement and intrinsically phrased rewards given daily; Positive behavior will be reinforced; Appropriate limits and consequences; Each child will feel safe, secure and loved when Mom and Dad leave.
Providing quality care in partnership with parents through good communication. A Parent's Meeting will be held annually; Twice a year parent's surveys will be administered; Parent conferences will be provided in the fall and spring or upon request; Teachers will discuss child's experiences each day; Open door policy so parents always feel welcome
Viewing each parent and child as part of our community family: Each child's welfare will be our #1 concern. Constant improvements will be made in our program; Frequent improvements will be made in our environment. Keeping parents constantly informed, Infant and Toddler Daily Reports, Pre-school weekly newsletters, verbal communication at the beginning and end of the day.
A 'Parent's Information' area will be available. A monthly newsletter will be published;
Provide time for the child to use their creativity and imagination. The daily schedule will be balanced between active and quiet times, teacher directed and child directed times. Each day will include a Group Time (stories, songs, concepts, discussion) Free Play (structured creative activities for children to choose from and learning centers); Outdoor playtime; Curriculum will be flexible; Appropriate developmental and academic values will be instilled; Community Celebrations (without religious inference); Regular field trips/Guest speakers will be available; Exposure to different cultures
Pricing will remain competitive. Pricing will increase only as a result of cost increases

Staff will be professional; Pre-school Teachers will have or working on a Early Childhood Education degree and in some cases a Bachelors Degree in Education or a related field in addition to practical experience; Staff will have positive attitudes and treat parents and children with respect.
