Just a reminder to our hard-working parents trying to make it home to cook dinner, etc.:  It's difficult to make a left out of our parking lot, and even if some cars stop for you, others may not.  Unless you want your car to look like this one, please make the block around instead of taking the risk to you, your children, and the other drivers by trying to make a left out of here.  We love you and want you to be safe.  A little inconvenience is worth it to avoid a major inconvenience later.  Thanks!!

It was "bring your bike to school day" for the summer campers.  They had a great time showing off their skills to each other!  They enjoyed the slalom course we set up with the cones.  They were also very generous with their bikes, letting some of the other children take turns!  What awesome summer campers we have here!!  Way to go, big kids!

We are all ready having lots of fun with our Circus theme this month!  The children love the little circus tent, and look forward to all the fun activities we have planned!  Are you a juggler, unicycle rider, or clown?  Would you like to lend your talents to amuse the children?  Please let us know and we will make it happen!!!

Some of our hornworm caterpillars have cocooned!  We watched one cocoon  wiggling around!  It's such a cool science project to watch the wonder of metamorphosis.  These particular caterpillars make their cocoon under the wood shavings that came with the kit, so it's a challenge looking for them!   Within 2 to 3 weeks we should see the moth emerge.  

We've also had live ladybugs (ask me about the time they got out of the netting!), painted lady butterfly caterpillars, and farms and bessbug beetles.  We hope your children have enjoyed observing these special creatures as much as we've enjoyed providing them!
