What better way to enjoy the outdoors than to gather together to fish!  It's fun to carry on traditions, teach about the finer points of catching fish (whether to eat or release), and share some family time together.  Lots of places to go, from the docks in Seattle to the Gold Creek Trout Farm in Woodinville and Springbrook Trout Farm in Renton.  Check out takemefishing.org for mor info, too.  Happy fishing!

We are studying about the deep blue sea this month!  It gives us lots of opportunities to examine sea life, play in the water, and learn about water safety.  Our favorite sea creature is the shark!  Did you know sharks can have as many as 3,000 teeth, arranged in rows, in their mouths?  There are over 500 species of sharks, and they've been around for over 420 MILLION YEARS?  Sharks can range in size from mere inches to over 50 feet long!  Wow!
