Wishing you all Happy Holidays!  We will be closed December 26-January 2 to enjoy the winter break with our families.  Remember to take time to read often with your children, they love it!

Our center is an Early Achievers participant.  We are working on our Level 4 (out of 5) rating.  We will have the data collectors (from the University of Washington) do the observation sometime between March to May.
What does that mean for families?

• Early Achievers helps families find high-quality child care and early learning programs that fit theirs and their children's needs.
• Early Achievers does not incur a cost to families.
• Choosing child care is an important decision. Families deserve to know their children are in quality child care environments that foster a love of learning, promote each child's unique skills and cultures, and support the development of the whole child.
• Participating child care and early learning providers receive free resources and training to improve the quality of their programs and there is no additional cost to families.

We are committed to our families and to quality early learning!  And it shows!

Playing outside is a vital and necessary part of the daily program here at school.  We get fresh air, exercise, and yes, sometimes even sunshine!  There's lots of learning opportunities outside, including large motor concepts, cooperation in group games, sharing, and taking turns.  Please remember to dress your child in weather appropriate clothing, including gloves/mittens and hats for the winter season.

It's important for the children to feel responsibility in the classroom, and this means keeping things clean and tidy.  Our baby washing station was a hit, and everyone got a chance to participate.  After washing and drying the dolls, we dressed and fed them.  The children said the babies were happy now!
