Congratulations to our graduating class of 2018! Our ceremony was awesome! Good luck in kindergarten!
Every year we order caterpillars so that we can watch the miracle that is metamorphosis. The preschool and pre-k classrooms receive a cup of six painted lady caterpillars. After a few weeks, they have eaten the food that comes in the cup and climb to the top to form cocoons. We then carefully transfer them to a butterfly house (a net enclosure) where they hatch and emerge as beautiful butterflies. Once they are dry and flapping their wings, we take them to the playground and release them. What a wonderful opportunity for the children to observe nature at its fines! You can visit:

What a great turn out for our Mother's Day Lunch! Thank you to all the moms who came to have lunch with their child! Have a great Mother's Day! We love you!
We'll be studying all about the farm and farm life. We're looking forward to making bread and butter, "milking" a cow, and shucking corn!
The school agers are enjoying the new game "Snap Circuits for Beginners." We're learning all about electricity by connecting circuits to a battery pack. We can run a fan, a horn, lights, and a lamp. It's a great hands-on activity that all the children are enjoying using!
Spring is bringing new life, and with it new opportunities to explore and discover! We'll be able to see nature blooming, bugs coming out of hiding, and new spring animals being born. We'll also have lots of chances to play in the rain puddle, dig for worms, and find picture in the clouds!
Thank you to the brave men and women of the Kirkland Fire and Rescue Department #26 for their visit today! The children got to see a fire fighter wearing his equipment, including face mask, air tank, boots, coat and helmet. We got to climb in the fire engine and see all the important equipment the fire fighters use to keep us safe and up out fires. Thank you, heroes of our community!
