Our Pre-K classroom (The Bears) will go on a field trip to Dr. Maze's Farm on Friday, October 24th from 9:30-12:30 (being back at school for lunch).
There is a $9 fee that includes the mazes, pumpkin patch, and hay ride. I already have a couple of parent volunteers, so thank you for that! (There is no limit to the number of parent helpers on field trips, so come if you'd like - your fees are paid by the school!)
We've done this trip many years, and the kids always have a great time. It does get muddy, though, so be sure to bring/wear rain boots, coats, etc. Each child will be taking home a small pumpkin, and we'll get a big one for the classroom!
The school agers froze Halloween toys in water-filled gloves, then experimented with different ways to melt it. We experienced liquids, solids, freezing temperatures, and hot and cold. Then they got to take the toys home. It was great listening to them explain the experiment to their parents when they got picked up!
