We're off to a great start for 2019! Some of our infants are graduating to toddlerhood, some preschoolers are moving up to pre-k, and Ms. Maria and Ms. Selmin are running their new classrooms with the utmost love and knowledge! We are celebrating anniversaries for our wonderful teachers, Ms. Nicole (14 years!) and Ms. Maria (1 year!) We look forward to another fun-filled year of growing and learning!
This Friday the 14th will be a relaxing day of wearing pajamas and watching a movie! We'll eat some popcorn, lounge in our pj's, and just spend the day enjoying being together!
We are looking forward to our annual Sing-A-Long and Potluck Holiday Get Together! See you on the 20th from 6:00 pm to 7:00pm to share in some singing, eating and socializing. The potluck sign up is on the lobby counter.
Well, we made it through the Fall holidays, and Thanksgiving was so fun! Now it's time to gear up for the winter holidays! We are looking forward to having our Holiday Sing-A-Long and Potluck next month. This is a time to socialize, sing, eat, and have a fun time together as we welcome in the winter holidays! More information will be provided in next month's issue of the Gazzette, our monthly newsletter available on this website. Happy Holidays to all our friends and families!!
We hosted our annual Stone Soup Lunch today! What a wonderful way to celebrate family and friends, by gathering together for a meal. We were glad to have some of the parents here sharing lunch with their child and their child's class! Yummy pumpkin pie and pumpkin roll for dessert! Thank you, kids, for bringing in veggies, and helping to cut them up for the soup! We wish all of our staff and families a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Congratulations to our graduating class of 2018! Our ceremony was awesome! Good luck in kindergarten!
Every year we order caterpillars so that we can watch the miracle that is metamorphosis. The preschool and pre-k classrooms receive a cup of six painted lady caterpillars. After a few weeks, they have eaten the food that comes in the cup and climb to the top to form cocoons. We then carefully transfer them to a butterfly house (a net enclosure) where they hatch and emerge as beautiful butterflies. Once they are dry and flapping their wings, we take them to the playground and release them. What a wonderful opportunity for the children to observe nature at its fines! You can visit:
