At The Discovery Center, we believe children learn best through hands-on experiences, meaningful play, and connection with nature. Our program supports the whole child—emotionally, socially, physically, and academically—while creating a joyful environment where children feel safe, confident, and inspired to explore.
As a nature-based preschool, we provide daily opportunities for children to discover, question, and learn through real-world experiences like gardening, outdoor exploration, imaginative play, and collaborative activities. These experiences naturally build important skills in literacy, math, science, and problem-solving.
We partner closely with families to support each child’s unique journey, fostering curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

As the Director of The Discovery Center, I am committed to creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment where children thrive, and families feel supported. With over 25 years of education experience, I have a deep passion for fostering a love of learning in young children through a holistic approach that blends academics, social-emotional growth, play-based learning and nature-based exploration.
In our preschool, we embrace the idea that learning happens everywhere—both indoors and out. Our programs incorporate hands-on activities, from science and math to art and literacy, encouraging curiosity and creativity in every lesson. We emphasize community, environmental awareness, and foundational skills that set children up for lifelong success.
As a leader, I value open communication and strong partnerships with families and staff to ensure that every child’s experience is both enriching and joyful. I am dedicated to ongoing professional growth for myself and my team to maintain a high standard of care and education.
Seeing children grow and thrive each day is the most rewarding part of my work, and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on each family in our community.
