“HEALTH AND SAFETY”
LAST MONTH: we studied “Our Big World”. We focused on the seven continents, and learned the “Continents Song” to help us remember them. We studied the different cultures, foods, languages, and customs of other countries. We had lots of fun cooking, doing art projects, and singing songs that enhanced the theme. Unfortunately, we missed a week due to the snow and ice, but were able to catch up and got everything in!
THIS MONTH: We will learn about “Health and Safety”, where we will focus on community helpers, nutrition and exercise. We’ll talk about making good choices in our eating and exercise habits, hygiene, and the importance of taking care of ourselves ~ inside and out! We will also discuss our community helpers, including grocery workers, police, and firefighters. Miss Kelly will be on vacation, and we have some fun field trips planned. We’ll also do Valentine’s Day parties and card exchange.
